Welcome to Owlxdrum! I'm Alex Buyser, a Philadelphia-area session and live drummer based in Lansdale, PA. For over 10 years, I've helped local bands, solo songwriters, and event agencies bring their music to life in the studio and on stage. Over the last two years alone, I've booked and played more than 100 live gigs across Greater Philadelphia, Montgomery County, Delaware County, South Jersey, and Delaware.

Formal Training & Drum Corps Pedigree

Temple University (Philadelphia, PA) — Studied Percussion Performance and earned a B.A. in Music Education, with advanced training in music theory, composition, guitar, piano, and audio engineering.

Drum Corps & Indoor Percussion — Performed quads and vibraphone with Cadets Winter Percussion (WGI) and quads and orchestral percussion with the Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps (DCA).

Percussion Educator — Instructed drumline, indoor percussion, and music students at Cab Calloway School of Performing Arts (Wilmington, DE), North Penn High School (Lansdale, PA), Council Rock South High School (Southampton, PA), and Musicopia (Philadelphia, PA).

The Unofficial Band Tech Advantage

Beyond the drum throne, I've worked with I.A.T.S.E. Local 8 in Philadelphia since 2013 as an audio engineer, video technician, lighting tech, and stagehand. In nearly every project I join, I serve as the band's go-to tech — building custom tempo maps, programming backing tracks, and running full in-ear monitor (IEM) and PA mixes from my own Behringer X32 rack system. Whether I'm drumming with my rock/cover band Stealing Society, tracking heavy metal with Stinkface, or playing private events for Felix and Fingers, I show up prepared, click-tight, and ready to elevate the entire show.
